Hello Griffin Families!

We are one month into the school year and we are working hard!
In Math I we have been learning to solve different kinds of equations, working on our first project, and we are getting ready for our first test.  It has been a wonderful month getting to know our new students and introducing them to new math concepts!
In Math II we are learning about exponential and logarithmic functions, and applying them in the real world.  I am really excited for today, the sophomores are going to be learning about how compound interest is used by credit card companies.  It will be a great opportunity for them to see how the math they are working so hard at will affect their everyday lives in the future.
Edgenuity is going well. Our freshmen have been making good progress in their Health classes.  The student homepage changed early in the month so that it is easier to navigate, and for the students to understand where they are in the course and what their grade is.
We had our first meeting of the crochet club.  We started with learning to chain stitch using the crochet hook.  We will be making hats for our first project once we have learned to single crochet, so I look forward to busy hooks!
